The centre is at Saint Gilles les Bains marina. Most of our dive sites are located in a marine nature reserve and are accessible to all types of divers. This means you can dive amongst abundant marine wildlife and plants.
The centre is open daily from 7am to 5pm with two daily dive meeting times: 08am and 01pm
WHO ARE WE?
Ô Sea Bleu is a professional centre. This means we are obliged to employ only qualified instructors. They make sure every trip is rigorously monitored and as comfortable as possible and they know the sites and how best to dive there. We provide regularly renewed and maintained equipment in partnership with Aqualung. The Reunion Island tourism committee supports us and has awarded us a Réunion Qualité Tourisme label.
TRIPS
Three comfortable boats (12, 18 and 21 seats) take you to our dive sites.
We organize 2 to 3 trips every day of the week. We can schedule your trips according to your availability as well as your preferred sites and times (10 days in advance).
For groups of 6 people and more it is possible to hire a private boat and take trips to whichever sites you want at whatever time suits you.
From beginners to seasoned divers all types of dives are possible and available throughout the year as the water temperature ranges from 22°C in winter to 29°C in summer.
On the way to the sites it is not uncommon to come across dolphins, porpoises and whales (from August to October), which will not fail to leave a lasting impression.
EQUIPMENT
In partnership with Scubapro, we renew our equipment regularly to make sure it is as reliable as possible.
We have equipment suitable for children as well as a large choice of wetsuits (shorty and full length) to fit men and women.
For scuba divers we have 10L, 12L and 15L 230 bar cylinders for air or Nitrox, computers and safety balloons. We have everything you could possibly want. The fill station has bottles with stoppers which means that filling is quiet.
FFESSM
The main diving organisation in France, approved by the State and the Ministry of Sports for underwater activities. Founded in 1948, FFESSM (French Federation of Undersea Studies and Sports) is a multidisciplinary organisation and offers an ideal setting for practising scuba diving, snorkelling and underwater sports, with diplomas and qualifications recognised all over the world and courses which comply with the World Underwater Federation (CMAS).
150,000 members, 110,000 other types of membership; 2,500 Clubs and approved commercial bodies; 6,000 instructors, referees and trainers; more than 70,000 licences issued per year.
ANMP
ANMP (National Association of Diving Instructors) is a professional organisation, with trade union status, which consists mainly of professional diving instructors or future instructors.
Faithful to the spirit of “Plongée Française” (French Diving), ANMP works towards the future of quality diving, which respects divers and the environment. Its training courses give divers the necessary required skills while keeping the activity playful; let’s not forget that the technique is not a goal, just a way of safely appreciating the wonders to be found in the sea every day.
PADI
PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the largest international training organisation for recreational scuba diving. It is an American organisation.
PADI is first and foremost a business. Its affiliates, including diving centres, schools, instructors and divemasters certify the majority of recreational divers in the world. It issues nearly 946,000 licences each year.
On a professional level, there are approximately 100,000 members, 4,300 diving centres in more than 175 countries. The translated teaching material is available in more than 20 languages.

Since 2009, on the joint initiative of SYPRAL (Professional Union of Leisure Activities) and the Globice association (Local Whales Study and Identification Group), a charter about approaching and observing humpback whales has been produced.
This charter outlines the rules of good conduct aimed at containing any disturbance caused to whales, while enjoying the spectacle of nature with a mutual respect for the users of the sea.
