Kaz Insolite is an original accommodation on the island of Reunion. Their unusual cottages are transparent bubbles installed at 1500 meters altitude in the forest of Makes. Each of the bubble suites is based on a platform on stilts.
Kaz Insolite is close to the star- rated village of Makes , famous for its astronomical observatory. It is located in the Hauts de la Réunion, 45 minutes from Saint-Louis . Their unusual vacation rentals are labeled Gîte de France. The on-site restaurant allows you to dine at the Kaz and savor our local Reunion cuisine.
Your bubble room is equipped with quality bedding, comfortable dimensions for you and your lover.
The bubbles Tec-Tec, Asleep and Tangue have an outbuilding with a living room and a bathroom communicating with the bubble.
The family suite Papangue , semi-opaque, offers a bubble room for parents and a second bubble smaller and opaque, to accommodate two children.
The bubbles Tuit Tuit and Straw tail have a small sitting area, a bathroom and a bedroom without having to leave the suite.
Installed warm, enjoy your own astronomical observatory at 1500 meters altitude! An i-Pad is at your disposal with an application with dynamic celestial mapping. You will be familiar with the constellations and be guided in your observations.
Kaz Insolite also has a very complete library to document the fauna and flora of the Makes pine forest on the island of Reunion.
In order to offer you all the comforts of a hotel room, the preservation of our natural resources is essential and environmentally responsible.
We make our customers aware of the exclusive use of BIO shower products and local production. These are available free of charge for the duration of the stay.
Each bathroom is equipped with dry toilets design: the renewal of sawdust is daily to ensure perfect hygiene. The recycling of this compost will be useful to maintain the field.
ITINERARY:
D.1 M&G, pick up the car and self drive to St-Denis Early check-in at accomodation
Overnight at Juliette Dodu, shower room – BB
D.2 Self drive to the valley of Salazie and village of Grand Ilet, then up to the end of the forest road.
Park the car and start your hike from « Col des Boeufs » to reach the valley of Mafate and the village of La Nouvelle ( 3 hours hike )
Set up, dinner and overnight at BISTRO DES SONGES ( Double room with private facilities) – HB
D.3 Drive to the volcano and explore the mineral part of the island
Hiking to the main crater will take more or less 5 hours, but you can choose a shorter hike in the area. Drive to Saint Louis, then up to Les Makes
Set up, dinner and overnight at KAZ INSOLITE – HB
D.4 Choose a hike from Les Makes, such as « Piton Cabris » with a fantastic view over the valley of Cilaos. Then drive down to Saint Louis before taking the road up to Cilaos
