Nosy Be, the Pearl of the Mozambique channel is situated on the north-western coast of Madagascar and is the ideal starting point for cruises to the paradisiac archipelagos. The island is also called “The Perfume Island” derived from the rich scents of  ylang-ylang flowers and other spices.

Nosy Be contains many other surprises! The island is overflowed with a dense forest sprinkled with volcanic lakes, and an exceptional fauna and flora. The archipelago has many islands that are very easy to visit. The most famous are Nosy Komba, Nosy Tanikely, Nosy Sakatia, and Nosy Iranja. Further north, you will find the Mitsio archipelago, and south the Radama Islands!

BEST TIME TO VISIT:

The weather around the island is always good, except during the rainy or cyclone season which lasts from end December to end March. During this time, it rains a lot, and the humidity is extremely high. Our operation normally will close during this period for maintenance and reopen again at the beginning of April. Winter is from June to August, but it still hot enough with maximum temperatures of 28˚C during the day, and 22˚C at night.
